A clear no to sexually shaped behaviour, which is perceived as offensive, intimidating, degrading, or even violent: That is the message of the video “Together against sexual harassment”. The film produced by the Equal Opportunities Office at Leibniz University Hannover with pictures by Tanja Föhr is available in German at www.chancenvielfalt.uni-hannover.de.
With the video, Leibniz University Hannover joins the Diversity Charter as a signatory on this year’s Diversity Day on 5 June. The film is part of a series of activities within the scope of the campaign “Together against sexual harassment”, which launched in September 2017. Leaflets, other information material, counselling, and workshops were utilised to raise awareness for the issue amongst students and staff, in order to point out, that sexual harassment is an invasion of privacy and will not be tolerated. By joining the campaign, LUH illustrates the importance of an equal and trusting cooperation between students and staff.
