Leibniz University Hannover is represented by cutting-edge research topics at this year''s CEBIT. The L3S Research Centre presents interactive exhibits on "Machine Learning" at the shared stand of the state of Lower Saxony in hall 16, stand G17. Based on large datasets, Applied Machine Learning can solve complex tasks in an efficient manner. This leads to an entirely different innovation potential concerning the anticipation, control, and improvement of future processes in various fields. These can be employed in technologies like the continuous communication between machines and robots in production, the realisation of autonomous driving, or for automated media production. CEBIT visitors can test the versatile possibilities of machine learning with interactive exhibits, learning modules, and games.
Within the scope of the participation of Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) in the Enterprise Europe Network, LUH will also hold the international cooperation forum Future Match at the CEBIT (hall 16, stand D18). In this context, businesses and research facilities from the fields of information and communication technologies or digitisation can explore potential cooperations in discussions coordinated beforehand. On Tuesday 12 June 2018, Minister for Science Björn Thümler is expected to visit at 12.00.
The Competence Centre "Mit uns digital!" ("Go digital with us!") will also be present. At the "Generalfabrik" in pavilion 36 on "Nordallee" the centre presents digitisation solutions for small and medium-sized companies. Visitors can explore digitisation through hands-on experience by configuring and manufacturing individual pens. Furthermore, there will be the live demonstration "Hands-on Digitisation" twice a day from 12 June to 15 June, where Dr. Michael Rehe, Eike Asche, André Heinke, and Daniel Arnold will show digitisation technologies in action between 11.00 and 12.00 as well as between15.00 and 16.00. They will also present free offers by "Go digital with us!", like training courses and dialogues.
"Go digital with us! Centre for Lower Saxony and Bremen" is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and supports small and medium-sized companies and craft producers on the way into the digital future. The Hannover Centre for Production Technology (PZH) and the Hannover Institute for Integrated Production (IPH gGmbH) manage the Competence Centre as sponsored project partners under the consortium leadership of Leibniz University Hannover.
