Students can currently apply for a Lower Saxony Scholarship (Niedersachsenstipendium) – scholarship winners will receive a one-time payment of 500 euros. Students enrolled at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) who have not taken a leave of absence and have not exceeded the prescribed standard period of study are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted until 31 October 2024.
The scholarship supports students who can demonstrate academic excellence. Among other things, it recognises particularly talented students from educationally underprivileged backgrounds or students who have particularly difficult starting and overall conditions for study because they have fled another country. Other social aspects may also be taken into account in the selection process. Supporting evidence must be provided in the form of an official, up-to-date transcript of marks (Notenspiegel) issued by the Examination Office. First-semester students are required to submit their university entrance qualification.
