TIB - Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library

TIB is the Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library. As the German national library of science and technology, as well as architecture, chemistry, information technology, mathematics and physics, its specialist collections provide literature and information in both printed and electronic form to national and international researchers and industry practitioners and – as a university library – to students, researchers and teaching staff in all the faculties of Leibniz University Hannover. As the world’s largest specialised library in its subject areas, TIB has outstanding collections of fundamental and highly specialised literature on science and technology. In order to optimise the services it offers, TIB conducts applied research and development. TIB is a public-law foundation of the Federal State of Lower Saxony. It is a member of the Leibniz Association.

TIB  Archives/Hannover University Archives

The university archive carries out the tasks of a state archive. To this end, it archives documents of lasting value that have been produced by the university administration, the academic and student self-administration, the central facilities, and the faculties and affiliated scientific institutions. The university archive has been an organisational component of the university library since 2005.
