Research Assistant (Postdoc) under the ERC-Grant “Ration Algic”

(salary scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)

The Institute of Algebraic Geometry welcomes applications starting at April 1st, 2025 or later for the following position: Research Assistant (Postdoc) under the ERC-Grant “Ration Algic” (salary scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)

The position is limited to one year, with the possibility of extension.

Your role

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the research of the department. He/she should have a good research track record in Algebraic Geometry and participate actively in the activities of the ERC-Project.

Who are we looking for?

To qualify for the position, applicants must hold a scientific university degree. Furthermore, a doctoral degree in Mathematics with above-average success in Algebraic Geometry is expected. The applicants research is expected to have some connections to rationality questions and/or algebraic cycles.
