Prestigious award from Brno University of Technology for Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) president Prof. Dr. Volker Epping: partner university Brno University of Technology (BUT) has recognised Prof. Epping with the BUT gold medal. The medal was granted to honour his efforts to promote internationalisation. Prof. Dr. Volker Epping served as the chair of the EULiST Presidents’ Board from the founding of the EULiST – European Universities Linking Society and Technology alliance in 2021 until 2024.
Brno University of Technology and Leibniz University Hannover are two of the ten European partner universities that make up the EULiST network. The consortium aims to build a long-term strategic partnership in order to jointly promote and expand networking between society and technological development in the areas of education, research and knowledge transfer. In May 2024, Volker Epping passed on his responsibilities as chair of the President’s Board to his successor Ladislav Janíček, president of BUT. The gold medal from the Czech university was awarded to Volker Epping in September.
