On September 10th, 2024, the AStA at the University of Hannover sent an email to all students with current information about the Deutschlandticket:
PLEASE NOTE: Circular emails to all students have a certain time delay of up to 3 days. In the future, the AStA will also send information via the Stud.IP event for information about the Deutschlandsemesterticket, where an FAQ area will also be set up. After activation, the access link to the online ticket will also be published there immediately. The AStA recommends joining this event, especially if you need the ticket on October 1st, 2024.

Further Infos:
- The Deutschlandsemesterticket for all students should be activated during the 39th calendar week (from September 23rd, 2024). The login works like Stud.IP with your LUH ID and the Websso password.
- Unfortunately, for organizational reasons, the GVH canceled the previously offered semester ticket upgrade for some students, so that the ticket can no longer be accessed in the app. Please read point 2 in the AStA email.
Digital Chipkard
- For students who do not own a smartphone and have no opportunity to use the digital offering, there will be a limited number of chip cards that can be applied for at the AStA.
- Contrary to the original communication, the digital chip card will only be valid for one semester. The card will therefore have to be re-ordered every semester for the time being. A solution to the problem is being worked on.
- The documents for ordering the digital chip card have been available since Tuesday, September 10th, 2024; 5:30 a.m., available in German and English via the following link: https://seafile.projekt.uni-hannover.de/d/ab6b04e614d043a48a81/.
- The documents are also available at the AStA; to place an order you must present your identity card and student ID to the AStA.
- Please note that practically all students who own a smartphone are not entitled to order the digital chip card.
