How to contact the Examination Office

  • Contacting the Examination Office by telephone

    If you have questions regarding examinations in one of our diploma, bachelor's or master's programmes you can reach the staff in the Examination Office by phone during the office hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–12:00 pm, using the Servicehotline: 0511-762 2020

    Outside of these office hours we ask you to use e-mail to contact the Examination Office.

  • Contacting the Examination Office by e-mail

    We ask you to contact the colleague responsible for your programme directly or via studium@uni-hannover.de.

    Due to the large number of e-mails we receive,  it may take a while for you to receive an answer. Thank you for understanding that we cannot reply to all e-mails immediately. Please refrain from sending more e-mails and instead send us your telephone number so that we can contact you. We will call you as quickly as possible.

  • Coming to the Examination Office in person

    The Examination Office offers scheduled in-person office hours. You can schedule an appointment (via telephone or e-mail) regarding one of the following topics:

    • Issuing of final documents after successful completion of studies (only in urgent cases)
    • Viewing of examination or final thesis files
    • Questions about examination regulations when continuation of your studies is in doubt (prolongation of study period, dropping out of studies)
    • Questions about examination regulations resulting from language barriers

     

    An appointment for other reasons is only possible after direct telephone confirmation with the responsible colleague at the Examination Office. After making an appointment, you will receive information about the premises. Please note that tardiness will result in the loss of the appointment.

The Examination Office is responsible for organising examinations for diploma, bachelor's and master's courses.

The tasks of the Examination Office also include receiving forms, granting admissions and non-admissions to examinations, checking deadlines, issuing and handing out certificates and notifications.

If you are studying law in a course with a state examination (first examination), please contact the examinations office at the Faculty of Law directly.

Intermediate examinations for teacher training courses are the responsibility of Leibniz University Hannover but are only partially supervised by the Examination Office (LBS electrical engineering, LBS construction engineering, wood technology, colour and interior design, LBS metal technology). The faculties are also responsible.
