At Leibniz University Hannover, research and development is supported through intense networking between science and industry. This networking involves both leading corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
With the assistance of federal-government and EU funding, Leibniz University Hannover cooperates with industry on numerous research projects. In addition, various institutes at Leibniz University Hannover participate in contract research projects, with the aim of knowledge transfer between science and industry.
Leibniz University Hannover has signed framework agreements for cooperation with several large-scale enterprises. These include VW Nutzfahrzeuge, MTU Aero Engines, Continental, and Bundesdruckerei GmbH with its subsidiary Maurer Electronics and D-Trust GmbH. Numerous (individual) cooperation projects with other companies are also underway.
