The Institute of Political Science and the Faculty of Humanities invite applications for the following position of salary scale W3 NBesO starting 1st April 2025: University Professorship (m/f/d) in Empirical Public Administration and Comparative Public Policy

The Position

  • Publishes regularly in peer-reviewed SSCI journals
  • Applies successfully for competitive external research funds
  • Participates actively in collaborative research project applications of the Institute for Political Science and the Faculty
  • Participates in the upcoming further development of the degree programs and in academic self-governance

Your Profile

  • Visible profile in political science and administration through relevant publications
  • Established record of publications in peer-reviewed SSCI journals
  • Successful applications for competitive external research funding, ideally also with regard to collaborative funding
  • Research approach theory-driven and empirical in nature on high methodological level
  • Research focus in at least one part of the denomination. Researchers focusing on public policy should cover this comparatively
  • Ability to co-operate with existing research at the Institute of Political Science and the Faculty
  • International co-operations and experiences
  • Excellent teaching evaluations and ability to teach in English
