The Position

The Professorship in Inclusive School and Teaching Development focuses its research and teaching on the central theoretical, conceptual and methodological challenges of inclusive design of development processes in educational organisations.

The professorship explores fundamental questions of inclusion-related development of organisations in schools from a special needs education perspective with a focus on teaching and staff development. The professorship's research profile incorporates international approaches to the sustainable inclusive development of educational institutions.

Teaching commitments in the bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in Special Needs Education include basic sessions on the inclusive education system and support for special needs education in Lower Saxony, at a national level and from an international comparative perspective. The professorship also provides advanced sessions, amongst other things, on collaboration and counselling for teachers and other school staff, as well as on establishing inclusive structures and processes at individual schools, in school regions and throughout the education system. The tasks include participation with 2 LVS of the professor's teaching load in the lecture and responsibility for the content and further development of the existing digital learning landscapes: Inclusive Education. Applicants will therefore contribute to the master’s programme Special Education and Rehabilitation Sciences.
