The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science invites applications for the following position of Salary Scale W3 NBesO starting at the earliest possible date: University Professorship in Concrete Structures
The Position
We are looking for applicants who represent the field of concrete structures in an internationally visible manner. The faculty has a particular focus on onshore and offshore infrastructure structures, coastal protection applications and wind energy research. In detail, your commitment is expected in the following areas:
- Basic and applied research in the field of concrete structures with a focus on ecological, economical and fast construction with concrete
- Active participation in the faculty's wind energy research focus and collaboration in the inter-university research network ForWind and the Test Centre for Support Structures Hanover (TTH)
- Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research and the acquisition of large and collaborative research projects in basic and applied research
- Teaching on the faculty's Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in German and English
- Furthermore, expertise in the automation of construction processes is desired
Your Profile
Leibniz University Hannover is looking for an internationally recognised scientist with a strong background in experimental and numerical basic and applied research.
Your profile is characterised by:
- Scientific excellence demonstrated by relevant international publications and successful acquisition of third-party funding or comparable achievements are required
- Experience in teaching in German and English is required (for applicants not speaking German the willingness to acquire appropriate German language skills within a reasonable period of time)
In addition, the following are desirable
- Experience in the acquisition of research funding
- Willingness to conduct cross-faculty research
- Leadership skills in a diverse environment and relevance to professional practice
- Experience in cooperative team development
