Oriented towards craft occupations in the field of plant operations and manufacturing of wood products, students expand on technical, creative, constructive and operational content in the scientific disciplines.
Study of teaching methodology is concerned primarily with types of vocational schooling up to the initial vocational training stage. Based on the analysis of work processes and the specialist knowledge required for this, a central component of the teaching methodological content is the development of school curricula and the design of teaching elements in types of school where Plant Operations and Manufacturing of Wood Products is taught.

2. Teaching methodology for the vocational subject area of Plant Operations and Manufacturing of Wood Products
In the Teaching Methodology 2 module, students focus on the analysis of organisation systems and operational processes as well as the development of school curricula; based on this knowledge, students develop learning units in the Teaching Methodology 3 module. The Practical Training module gives students the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice in class, and to tackle exploration and research projects at a vocational school.

In addition to an enjoyment of working with people, prospective students should have a broad interest in the areas of activity in occupations related to plant operations and manufacturing of wood products, from traditional areas of craftsmanship to industrial wood processing.
Graduates of the consecutive Master’s Teacher Training Course for Technical Education are eligible for the preparatory phase of teacher training (teacher training period) for technical education. Outside the teaching profession, graduates may also find employment in vocational training with associations and chambers. Graduates who embark on doctoral studies may then pursue further qualifications in academia.
