Are you interested in initiatives and projects to address and promote climate resilience and climate neutrality? Interested in networking with researchers and students from around Europe on this issue?

On December 2 and 3 we are hosting a  Symposium on Climate Resilience in our Cities and Universities here at LUH, together with the Technical University of Vienna, the National Technical University of Athens,  the City of Hannover and the German Weather Service.
Researchers and students from the 9 EULiST partner universities in Finnland, Sweden, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Spain, Italy and Greece are invited, providing a great opportunity to meet and network with others interested in this important topic.

Every downtown area in Germany transforms into a sparkling christmas market in December. Whether hot drinks, fresh food or little gifts for friends back home. In this cozy comfortable atmosphere new booths can be discovered on every corner for the whole evening. This time we are heading to Goslar, one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in northern Germany.

A game night & a pot-luck dinner together, what will that look like? We would be delighted if you could prepare something typical for the winter/Christmas season and we can put together a buffet together. While we embark on our culinary journey, we can play all kinds of games and socialize. Various games are available in a relaxed atmosphere and the focus is on having fun! As it's December, we'll add a little Christmas charm and have gingerbread, speculoos and mulled wine ready for you.

This workshop is all about intercultural communication and the key to successful research work with colleagues from all over the world. It is a great opportunity for international PhDs to learn more about the German way of communication and doing research but it is also important for German doctoral candidates who, although doing research in Germany, will have to work with people from all over the world. The workshop is nothing like a “boring” presentation but rather a pleasant sharing of experiences and searching for strategies on how to work best in an international environment.

The workshop is led by a intercultural trainer who has spent a lot of time abroad herself and has been running workshops at the International Office for many years. Participants in her workshop can not only improve their intercultural skills, but also learn a lot about themselves.
