Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover (or Leibniz University Hannover) provides a roof for all of the faculties, connecting them through the name of the polymath. In 2006, the 175th anniversary of the university, the former Universität Hannover was renamed Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover.
