Application deadlines
There are two application deadlines: 20 November for actions to be implemented in the first half of the following year and 15 June for actions to be implemented in the second half of the current year.
WiN – “Willkommen in Niedersachsen” (Welcome to Lower Saxony)
In April 2017, the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony (MWK) updated the funding programme “Willkommen in Niedersachsen” (Welcome to Lower Saxony) to promote the internationalisation efforts of universities in Lower Saxony.
Objectives at a Glance
The main objective of the programme “Willkommen in Niedersachsen” is to provide funding for outstanding internationalisation measures at universities in Lower Saxony.
Measures eligible for funding include:
- Funding line 1: grants for orientation programmes for international students at the beginning of their stay at a university in Lower Saxony
- Funding line 2: grants for short-term stays of international students or prospective international students at universities in Lower Saxony to attract students and doctoral candidates
There are three purposes for a short-term stay that are eligible for funding under funding line 2: course projects, educational trips, and starter funding.
