The Institute of Political Science at the Faculty of Humanities invites applications for the following position within salary scale W1 of the Lower Saxony salary system (NBesO) to be appointed at the earliest possible date: Junior Professorship (m/f/d) in the field of Analytical Political Theory

The position is limited to three years with a renewal option for a further three years.

The Position

  • Publishes regularly in peer-reviewed SSCI ranked journals or peer-reviewed monographs
  • Applies successfully for competitive external research funding
  • Participates in collaborative grant applications of the Institute and the Faculty
  • Participates in academic self-governance

Your Profile

  • Publishes in relevant political science journals
  • Record of publications in peer-reviewed SSCI ranked journals or peer-reviewed monographs
  • Research focus in analytical political theory (e.g. new institutionalism, new political economy, game theory, decision-making theory)
  • Research fits into an analytical-empirical profile and existing research at the Institute of Political Science
  • Ideally prior experiences in applying for third-party-funding
  • International co-operations and experiences
  • Excellent teaching evaluations
  • Ability to teach courses in English

Further information
