Waiving your Place of Study

If you want to waive your place of study, you have to do this until 15.11. (for the Winter semester), or until 15.05. (for the Summer semester). This only applies to study beginners in undergraduate (Bachelor, Staatsexamen) and postgraduate degree programmes (Master).

Applicants, who wish to forego their place of study, have to fill out the document "request for a study place waiver" (Antrag auf Studienplatzverzicht - German language only) and send it by e-mail to the Admissions Office at studium@uni-hannover.de. Possibly already paid semester fees will be refunded within 6-8 weeks.

All other students must apply for exmatriculation.
