Guided tours of the main university building and science

Leibniz University Hannover offers guided tours in cooperation with STATTREISEN HANNOVER where visitors can get acquainted with the “Welfenschloss” (the main university building), the Marstall building (a former stable) and Conti campus.

  • discover personalities that shaped the university
  • look at little-known spaces
  • learn more about the architecture of the atrium of the main university building
  • see where the Senate – one of the most important university committees – convenes

Guided tours of the permanent exhibition dedicated to Leibniz

Depending on demand and the resources available, around four guided tours are offered each year.

Moreover, special tours for children (from 5th grade), group tours as well as tours conducted in English are available in exceptional cases - please contact the Communications and Marketing Department.

Guided tours of the Welfengarten

The Welfengarten area behind the Welfenschloss, the main building of Leibniz University Hannover, has a 300-year history as a park in the Herrenhausen Gardens.

In collaboration with LUH (Communications and Marketing), NaTourWissen offers a guided tour of the Welfengarten surrounding the Welfenschloss.

The 90-minute tour, entitled "Der Welfengarten – Uni-Park und Königsdomizil", explores the special features of the park with its majestic trees, as well as its history.
