International Office – Leibniz University Hannover

The International Office is responsible for Leibniz University Hannover's exchange programmes and can give you advice on scholarships and other forms of support. We are also in charge of developing internationalisation at Leibniz University Hannover and expanding cooperation between post-secondary institutions. We are guided by the national code of conduct on foreign students.

Advice on studying and internships abroad

The International Office offers a peer info session twice a month, as well as region-specific advising hours on three different dates each week, on the topic of studying and internships abroad. These sessions provide more information on the various opportunities in the different regions. Of course, general questions about studying abroad can also be answered here.

The Welcome Centre is open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 4 pm.

In addition to the possibility of spontaneous counselling at the Welcome Centre, you can reach us by email and telephone to make individual appointments for counselling online or in person. The following email addresses are available for making appointments:

From 18 September to 13 October 2023, we are offering counselling specifically for new international students. You will find us Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm at the ServiceCentre. There you can obtain information about the introduction sessions at the university, administrative steps which need to be completed after your arrival in Hannover, etc.

Co-working rooms

The Welcome Centre offers two co-working spaces for international researchers and visiting doctoral candidates. These workspaces are available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.
