The Institute of Open Space Planning and Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Landscape Science invites applications for the following position of Salary Scale W2 NBesO starting as soon as possible: University Professorship (m/f/d) in Participation and Co-Creation for Open Space Planning and Design

The Position

The professorship's main areas of research and teaching are:

  • Open space-related participation methods
  • Co-Creation for open space development
  • Participation of civil society actors in open-space-related transdisciplinary research approaches
  • Teaching is aimed at students of landscape architecture and environmental planning. It includes a compulsory module in the Bachelor's degree programme, elective modules in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes and studios.

Your Profil

  • An academic, reflective approach to research and teaching on open space-related methods of participation and co-creation is expected
  • Publications as proof of scientific work in the subject area
  • Experience in specific contexts of participation and co-creation for open space development
  • Motivation to participate in the faculty research focus ‘Sustainable, livable and inclusive cities’
  • National and, if possible, international involvement in the areas of participation and co-creation
  • Experience in transdisciplinary research contexts is desirable
